19th century fan once believed to have been used at the 1778 Michianza. Two hand-painted paper leaves depicting landscapes are adhered together back to back with wooden ribs/slips between them for support. The ribs are attached to intracately carved and hand painted plastic sticks, which are most likely celluloid. Carved and hand painted mother of pearl and metal guards searc as a protective support to the fan. The entire construction is health together with a decorative glass rivet, cut like a diamond.
